The Emirati defence group Edge announced during the Dubai Air Show 2021 that it has received a AED3.2 billion (USD871 million) contract from the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces to deliver Thunder bomb guidance kits and Desert Sting guided bombs made by its Halcon Systems division.
“This is a significant contract on a global scale for this type of weapons system,” said Halcon CEO Saeed al-Mansoori.

US-based Parker Hannifin Corporation has agreed to sell its Aircraft Wheel & Brake business to US aircraft parts maker Kaman Corporation for USD440 million to address regulatory concerns about its proposed acquisition of the United Kingdom's Meggitt.

Polish Armaments Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa: PGZ) announced in a press release on 19 May that it had been awarded a contract by an East African country for Grot rifles chambered in 7.62×39 mm. The company would not disclose the customer‘s name and the contract value.

Naval Group has confirmed to Janes that it has withdrawn from India's project to procure six new diesel-electric submarines. The programme is a follow-on to the P-75 project in which the French shipbuilder is collaborating with Mazagon Dock on the construction of Kalvari (Scorpène)-class submarines for the Indian Navy (the fourth of which is pictured above).
