Israel-based Netline Communication Technologies launched its new manportable counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) called C-Guard Modular ManPack on 31 October.

The radio frequency (RF)-based jammer provides on-the-move, omnidirectional, tactical protection to counter UASs as well as protect forces from improvised explosive devices (IEDs), a company spokesperson told Janes .

The system counters threats on the 20–6,000 MHz frequency range and employs a hybrid jamming technique that combines both active and reactive jamming modes to maximise protection and performance. While the active mode involves continuously broadcasting interfering radio signals, the reactive mode only triggers a directed energy response when a threat is detected through its short “look-through” transmission periods.

Five modules are also available, with each one being a self-contained jammer that can be replaced to suit the customers needs and various operational scenarios, the spokesperson added.

While unable to disclose the range of the C-Guard Modular ManPack, the spokesperson said that the solution weighs 14 kg without batteries and accessories.
