The Brazilian Navy Marine Corps (Corpo de Fuzileiros Navais) is implementing an ambitious effort to replace some of its older equipment, acquire new capabilities, improve infrastructure, and re-organise its Air Combat Battalion and CBRN Defence Battalion, while also contributing to the local defence industrial base.
The Marine Corps Combat Power Strategic Program 2020–2040, or PROADSUMUS, which is part of the navy's strategic programme Construction of the Naval Power Core, replaces its previous PROBANF, PRORIB, and PROGPTFN modernisation efforts, the General-Command of the Marines Corps (CGCFN) told Janes .
