The Danish Ministry of Defence (MoD) Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) has entered into a framework agreement with Saab for live training solutions, Saab announced on 21 March.

Hans Lindgren, head of Business Development Training and Simulation at Saab's Business Area Dynamics, told Janes that the framework agreement will allow the Danish armed forces to order all necessary equipment, hardware, and software from Saab's live training solutions to establish a Mobile Exercise Control.

According to the company, the agreement has a potential order value of DKK550 million (USD81.3 million), and a duration of 15 years, with the option to extend the agreement by an additional five years.

Lindgren was unable to confirm what type of equipment the Danish MoD intend to order, however, he did say that the agreement will enable the acquisition of equipment for interoperable live combat training, which includes transmitters and receivers for soldiers and vehicles; computers, radios, antennas, and infrastructure for a mobile combat training centre.

Lindgren added that Saab's live training concept is based on the GAMER system, used for live laser-based training.
