05 February 2020

US aircraft parts makers Hexcel and Woodward remain on track to complete their merger in the third quarter of this calendar year, according to the two companies.

Nick Stanage, Hexcel's chairman, president, and CEO, said on 4 February that planning efforts for the combination are "making good early progress".

The two companies announced the merger on 12 January, saying the combined company will create efficiencies by offering a broader product portfolio and pooling research and development efforts.

Hexcel reported on 4 February that its net sales inched up 0.6% to USD564.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2019 as an 18% surge in Space & Defense sales offset declines in Commercial Aerospace and Industrial markets.
