The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defence (MoD) on 23 November launched a new agency to provide services for manufacturers, importers, and exporters of defence equipment and services.
Based in the Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP) as a branch of the Department of Licensing & Regulation in the MoD, the Trade Control Office is supported by UAE offset authority Tawazun Economic Council (TEC) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development.
The office will streamline defence regulatory and licensing services for the UAE defence industry, acting in effect as the first fully integrated service centre for the MoD.
