Elbit Systems has sold a "multi-layered array of unmanned aircraft systems (UASs)" to an undisclosed Southeast Asian army, the company announced on 6 October.

The deal, valued at approximately USD153 million, covers "more than 1,000 Thor quad-rotor vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) mini-UASs, scores of Skylark LEX, Skylark 3, and Hermes 450 tactical UASs as well as the company's Universal Ground Control Stations (GCSs)", Elbit said in a statement.

The contract will be performed over a 22-month period.

While Elbit did not name the customer, Israeli media reports from earlier in the year noted that the company was in the final stages of closing a deal with the Philippines. The Thor UAS is one of several unmanned systems that Elbit has sold to an undisclosed Southeast Asian, believed to be the Philippines.
