(Herstal, Belgium) - September 26, 2019. Belgium-based FN Herstal, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of small caliber weapons, weapon systems and associated ammunition, will showcase its most advanced capabilities at the Global SOF Symposium - Europe , which will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on October 1-3, 2019.

During the Global SOF Symposium - Europe , FN Herstal will demonstrate how its mission «to design, develop and manufacture a complete range of state-of-the-art, innovative solutions developed around small firearms» fully applies to the SOF community worldwide.

Alongside its traditional armament, such as the FN SCAR® assault rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm or 7.62x51mm NATO caliber, FN Herstal will display proprietary aiming and training solutions.

FN® Aiming Solutions The newly-developed FN® Ballistic Calculator specifically dedicated to snipers, riflemen and machine gunners is a compact, ruggedized, and high-performance weapon mounted range finder. Featuring an embedded ballistic solver and an all-in-one laser system, it enhances lethality by increasing hit probability and situational awareness, and simplifying target designation.

FN Herstal also proposes the FN® FCU Fire Control Unit , which ensures first round hit probability, night and day, when using a 40mm LV/MV grenade system. Ergonomic and easy to use, the fully developed and deployed

FN® FCU collects data, makes complex calculations, and automatically adjusts the aiming point. Fast and effective target engagement with reduced demand on the user in a high stress situation helps ensure mission success. The FN® FCU Fire Control is widely in service with the European SOF community.

FN® Training Solutions

The FN® Expert is more than a basic marksmanship trainer, it can also be used for tactical training. There is no requirement for specific infrastructure, it can be quickly set up in any location to provide unlimited, varied and realistic scenarios. It gives immediate feedback of results and is now compatible with Android mobile devices. FN® Expert is the perfect tool to train markmanship skills in realistic conditions and prepare units for their specific missions.
