The Bulgarian Interministerial Commission for Export Control and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction has released figures for exports of defence equipment in 2018, the state-run Bulgarian News Agency reports.
A total of 887 licences were issued in 2018 for defence exports worth a total of EUR766 million (USD842.41 million), and the total value of licences issued for the export and transfer of defence-related products was EUR1 billion.
The main national markets for Bulgarian defence exports in 2018 were Saudi Arabia, India, Afghanistan, the United States, Turkey, and Algeria.
