Japan and Israel have signed an agreement to deepen ties in defence equipment and technology, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in Tokyo has announced.
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed on 10 September and provides protections for any bilateral sharing of confidential information regarding defence equipment and related technologies, the MoD said.
It added that the agreement was signed at the Japan MoD headquarters by senior officials from the two countries' defence ministries.
“This MOU supports the appropriate protection of confidential information on defence equipment and technology provided by the Japanese and Israeli defence authorities,” said the MoD.
