Australian firm DroneShield has secured a contract with Thales to support the export of its products to Spain and other global customers, the Sydney-based company said on 29 April. The deal follows the signing of a teaming agreement between Thales and DroneShield in December 2018.
In a press release, DroneShield said, "Thales Spain has now made its first purchase of DroneShield detection and mitigation products with the [objective to] integrate them into its broader family of defence products to market in Spain and globally to its customers."
DroneShield added that the "payment for the products has been received" and that integration of its drone-detection technologies will feature on Thales' Squire ground surveillance radar system and Gecko Optronics System.
