16 April 2019

A video released on 13 April by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan shows that the AeroVironment RQ-11B Raven unmanned aerial system (UAS) is now operational with the country's military.

The video displays a hand-launched RQ-11B unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) participating in joint command and staff exercises carried out in the Fergana Valley between 9-13 April.

According to a 6 March article published on the US Army website, Uzbekistan acquired four RQ-11B Raven UASs through the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) under a USD2.3 million Foreign Military Sale (FMS) that includes maintenance support, training, publications, spare parts, and technical support.
