German defence sensors company Hensoldt announced plans to acquire the majority of French electronics supplier Nexeya on 12 April, in a move aimed at enhancing its product portfolio.
Hensoldt’s purchase will see it take ownership of Nexeya’s test and integration and services activities, and large parts of its offerings in mission management and power conversion. Nexeya’s space activities, as well as some remaining defence capabilities, are not included in the proposed transaction.
In a statement released alongside the announcement, Hensoldt CEO Thomas Müller said, “The acquisition boosts our strategy of developing commercial markets, creating new opportunities in the area of services.
