Rheinmetall Canada has secured an in-service support (ISS) contract with the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) for the Canadian Army’s Land C4ISR (LC4ISR) programme.
Under the five-year CAD57 million (USD42.2 million) contract, the company will provide the Canadian Army with a command-and-control information system (C2IS) intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) capability.
Rheinmetall Canada will be responsible for providing ISTAR components and software that ensure data exchanges occur seamlessly from sensing and intelligence-gathering equipment such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or ground radars to the LC4ISR system.
