LAAD 2019: Turkish Aerospace T129 ATAK helicopter makes debut Brazilian flight

The Turkish Aerospace T129 ATAK multirole combat helicopter recently made its debut Brazilian flight on 26 March in São Paulo ahead of the LAAD Defence and Security exposition in Rio de Janiero.

Turkish Aerospace said in an 18 March statement that the T129 would make two flights prior to LAAD - on 26 March in Taubate and on 28 March in Brasilia. The aircraft will be on static display during LAAD at the Turkish Aerospace stand.

The T129 is a new generation, two-seat, twin-engine helicopter specifically designed for attack and reconnaissance purposes. It incorporates new LHTEC CTS 800-4A engines, new avionics, and weapon systems. It also has a modified airframe, upgraded drive train, and new tail rotor.
