Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract from Italian shipyard Cantiere Navale Vittoria SpA to supply combat suites and systems integration on three new patrol vessels for the Hellenic Coast Guard, the Israeli company said.
The contract calls for Elbit to deliver the systems in two years and include an additional five-year warranty and logistic support period, the company added in a 5 March contract announcement.
The systems to be supplied and integrated include electro-optical payloads, radar, navigation systems, a Warship Automatic Identification System (W-AIS), as well as remote control weapon stations with full integration into command-and-control (C2) software. The combat suit is designed to support future "plug and play" integration of aerial and surface unmanned systems that will "enable expansion of the operational envelope of the patrol vessels far beyond line of sight", Elbit said in a statement.
