Rheinmetall has contracted Australian company Milspec Manufacturing for the supply of additional components in support of its programme to supply logistics trucks to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) under the Land 121 Phase 3B/5B programme.
Under the partnership - announced on 15 January - Rheinmetall subsidiary Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Australia (RMMVA) will source products from Milspec, including roof frames, gunner stands, wire cutters, stowage boxes, signs, brackets, and components for the vehicle's C4I systems.
Rheinmetall said the new deal is worth more than AUD10 million (USD7 million). It added that under the Phase 3B project Milspec has already secured subcontracting deals worth about AUD27 million.
