Swiss defence technology group RUAG announced on 11 October that it had begun the process of splitting up its business into separate international and domestic entities, and also revealed the leadership of the new companies.
Andreas Berger, current CEO of RUAG Defence, will lead MRO Switzerland, while Felix Ammann, vice president of supply chain at RUAG Aviation, is to head MRO International.
The restructuring sees the removal of RUAG’s existing divisional structure, which groups businesses under aerospace and defence activities, in favour of a split between those that provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and other services to the Swiss Armed Forces, and all civil and military operations.
