Israeli startup Double Shoot was at this month's Association of the United States Army (AUSA) symposium to present a new smartphone-based app of the same name that can significantly cut down the time and ammunition costs associated with zeroing in weapons.
The app uses an advanced image processing system, deployed via smartphone, that can reduce the process required to zero in a weapon down to just two shooting sessions, thus reducing the time and ammunition required to zero in a weapon by 30-50%.
As explained to Jane's by Double Shoot's Tal Tinichigiu, the first stage of the process is to take an image of the target.
