British business and general aviation supplier BBA Aviation announced on 18 September that it is to acquire US aircraft component manufacturer Firstmark Corp.
The acquisition, valued at USD97 million, remains dependent on governmental and regulatory approvals, but is expected to be completed before the end of 2018, when it will be integrated into Ontic, BBA’s licensed parts and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) business.
Mark Johnstone, BBA Aviation CEO, said, “We are pleased to have reached an agreement to acquire Firstmark. This acquisition fully supports the strategic growth of Ontic by expanding the portfolio of proprietary products on established civil and military aircraft platforms and adding footprint on the US East Coast.”
