T&G Nordic and Terma have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on areas of interest, specifically regarding Terma’s C-Guard decoy launching system.
Collaboration between the Finnish and Danish companies will result in T&G Nordic supporting the design, development and production of a new test cartridge for the Terma-built naval self-protection system, which is used to counter multiple types of missile and torpedo attacks.
T&G Nordic will subsequently become part of Terma’s supply chain, the company said, offering it access to new export markets.
The C-Guard decoy launching system provides 360? coverage, and counters threats such as small range gate radio frequency missiles, missiles containing imaging infrared seekers, and advanced-next generation torpedoes, the companies said, adding that this type of defence benefits from the incorporation of modern decoy technologies.
