BAE Systems seeks to automate network cyber defence tools

07 August 2018

The US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) selected BAE Systems to develop cyber-hunting tools to improve the ability of network enterprise systems to rapidly detect and defend against cyber attacks.

DARPA’s Cyber-Hunting at Scale (CHASE) programme seeks to build adaptive technologies that can recognise, detect, and defend enterprise networks with the same speed and agility of cyber attacks.

“BAE Systems’ approach combines advanced machine-learning with dynamic cyber attack modeling techniques to address the advanced cyber threats going undetected in large enterprise networks,” Sam Hamilton, chief scientist in the cyber technology group at BAE Systems, told Jane’s .

BAE Systems announced on 7 August that it was selected to lead the CHASE effort.
