Two BAF pilots killed in K-8W crash

Two Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) pilots were killed when their Chinese-made K-8W Karakoram trainer aircraft crashed into the Bookbhora Oxbow Lake during a routine night-time training sortie on 1 July.

The Bangladeshi military’s Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate said the K-8W had taken off from the BAF’s Matiur Rahman base in Jessore and crashed into the nearby lake around 2120 h local time.
