SENER Group has agreed to buy fellow Spanish engineering and technology group TRYO Aerospace & Electronics, the company announced on 18 June.
Until now majority owned by private investment fund Alantra, TRYO is also involved in work on defence systems, notably in the radio communications sector.
Details of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition includes TRYO Flight Segment and RYMSA RF (Radio Frequency), which in turn controls Mexican company Radiación y Microondas, México, and has a 20% stake in US company Mega Industries.
“The purchase of TRYO opens up a future of growth opportunities,” said SENER’s director-general for aerospace, José Julián Echevarría.
