UK run-flat tyre specialist Tyron has announced that it will be acquiring a 20% stake in carbon fibre component designer and manufacturer, Carbon ThreeSixty.
Speaking to Jane’s on 13 June, Tyron Managing Director Richard Glazebrook said that the decision to invest in the firm came as the company was investigating ways to reduce the weight and improve the performance of the run-flat tyres that the company manufactures.
“We needed a special relationship with a supplier, and have some kind of control over our destiny,” Glazebrook said. “The reason for taking this stake will be that they will be a critical supplier into our business.”
