IED attack damages girls' school in Pakistan's North Waziristan

THE boundary wall of a middle school for girls was damaged when an improvised explosive device (IED), emplaced by militants identified as Ittehadul Mujahideen North Waziristan, detonated in the Hasokhel area of Mirali in North Waziristan in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on 9 May, Dawn reported. A pamphlet was left at the scene of the attack by the militant group claiming to be responsible, stating that the attackers would not tolerate...sending grown-up girls to schools.
