Harris Corporation sees opportunities to further penetrate the Asia-Pacific market by expanding the services it provides customers in regional countries and increasing its focus on promoting some of its core technologies, Jackson Pho, Harris’ managing director of business development in the region, told Jane’s on 8 February.
According to Pho, the company’s focus in the Asia Pacific is on four technology areas: communications, air systems, naval systems, and homeland security. Underscoring regional opportunities for the corporation in these areas Harris has recently secured contracts to provide the Philippines with a joint-service command-and-control system, and bomb rack units for South Korea’s next-generation Korea Fighter Experimental (KFX) development programme.
