The Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), Major General Mervyn Tan, has outlined how the service intends to lean on 4th industrial revolution (IR) technologies to become a “more effective and more efficient” force.
In comments to Jane’s on the eve of the Singapore Airshow 2018, Maj Gen Tan said the RSAF is now pushing “towards greater use of robotics, data analytics, and artificial intelligence” in line with the Singapore Armed Forces’ (SAF’s) long-term focus on the acquisition of world-leading technologies and capabilities.
