Japanese Apache crash kills crew

A Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI)-Boeing AH-64DJP Apache attack helicopter of the Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) crashed on 5 February, killing both crew members.

The incident, which was reported by national media, saw the helicopter crash into a residential area in the town of Kanzaki.

According to The Japan Times , Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera confirmed that a helicopter had gone down in Saga prefecture. “The helicopter crashed and burst into flames,” he was quoted as saying.
