Babcock and BMT have concluded a co-operation agreement setting out the framework of a long-term strategic relationship covering surface ship design, build, and support.

While the partnership is initially focused on the UK Royal Navy’s (RN’s) Type 31e general-purpose frigate programme, executives say the alliance will also pursue other UK and international opportunities.

Babcock and BMT first revealed their intention to establish a strategic partnership on 14 September at the DSEI 2017 exhibition in London.
