Saab beats 2016 orders in first nine months

Saab has reported a 62% year-on-year increase in booked orders from January to September, due to a number of major sales of surveillance aircraft and weapon systems, as well as support contract signings.

In the first three quarters of 2016, the Swedish company booked orders amounting to SEK14.9 billion (USD1.8 billion), which rose to SEK24.2 billion in the same period of 2017 – already topping the SEK21.8 billion of order bookings Saab made over the whole of 2016.

Furthermore, according to an interim report issued by Saab on 24 October, sales rose by 10% in the same comparative period, from SEK19.6 billion to SEK21.5 billion.
