A manufacturer of satellite subsystems and components, NewSpace Systems (Hangar 6, Stand E16 of the South African National Space Agency (SANSA)) is a privately owned South African company that has advanced facilities in South Africa and, as of January 2016, a subsidiary in the UK. Having already secured a Rand 25 million (£1.3 million) contract through the UK office, an additional manufacturing facility will be established in 2017 at the Harwell Space Hub in Oxfordshire.

Representing a unique capability on the African continent, the NewSpace product line includes a wide range of high-quality SmallSat and CubeSat Attitude Control components. The team is currently exporting to 12 countries and has secured more than 30 international contracts in the past three years to commercial customers such as SpaceTeq, CSIR and Airbus and space agencies such as JAXA (Japan), CONAE (Argentina), KARI (Republic of Korea) and even NASA (USA).

Recently acquired facilities in Cape Town to double its existing ISO-certified cleanroom by the end of 2016 and highly trained European Space Agency-certified technicians ensure the highest-quality of design and manufacturing by working according to rigorous international standards (ECSS).
