Engine of growth [AAD16D1]

Vector Aerospace, a global independent provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, is presenting its broad range of cost-effective service offerings on Stand CW11 in Hangar 7.

“We are very excited to be participating at AAD 2016,” said Jeff Poirier, president of Vector’s Engine Services – Atlantic division.

“Our expansion into the African marketplace has been a key component in our customer service growth strategy.

“We have two strategically located facilities in Africa: a Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) authorised PT6A Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF) in Johannesburg, South Africa, and a service centre in Nairobi, Kenya.”

Vector’s Johannesburg shop, located at the Lanseria International Airport, is the only PT6A-140 Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in the world. The location recently completed its first full engine test on the 1,075eshp PT6A-140, which powers the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX and which is also offered as an upgrade for earlier models of the 208 Caravan family.

The Johannesburg facility also offers operators in the region comprehensive field service support for the P&WC JT15D and PW100 engines.

Operators in Africa also benefit from the support of Vector’s Mobile Repair Team (MRT), which is designed around a ‘Quick Turn Around’ and ‘Travel Ready’ philosophy to support customers’ needs 24/7.
