Established in 1993, TISASTrabzon Gun Industry Corporation (Hall 1, Stand A107) has become one of Turkey’s leading defence suppliers, with an annual capacity of 50,000 handguns. Its first sales were to Turkish customers such as the army and gendarmerie, but now the company has sold to more than 30 countries worldwide. TISAS operates a state-of-the-art factory with CNC machining.

It produces its own barrels and is the only facility in the country using cold forging technology. The company offers a range of about 50 weapons in 7.65mm, 9mm, .22in, .25in and .45in calibres. The initial product was the Fatih 13 7.65mm pistol, followed in 1998 by the Kanuni.

In 2003, TISAS landed a major order for 21,000 Zigana-T 9x19mm calibre weapons for the Turkish Ministry of National Defence. This gun formed the basis of a range of sport models for the US civilian market. In 2008, TISAS began producing the M1911A1. Polymer frames were introduced from 2012 with the ZIG P 9x19mm gun.

Its latest weapon is the Zigana PX-9 (pictured), a 9x19mm gun with a 15-round magazine capacity and Picatinny rail for mounting accessories. The gun is designed for both left- and right-handed shooters, with ambidextrous slide stop lever, safety catch and magazine release.

It weighs just under 800g with an empty magazine.
