Eurosatory 2014

Crisp image and high detection (ES14E3)

18 June 2014

Belgium’s OIP Sensor Systems (Hall 6, Stand F287) has chosen Eurosatory to officially announce its EOPTRIS 2.0, a fully functional system of which is shown here integrated on a SK105 light tank and also in a standalone configuration. Developed from its wellknown electro-optical ranging and imaging system (EOPTRIS), it affords users of remotely operated weapon stations the same outstanding performance in a smaller and lighter housing.

As a fully integrated imaging system, EOPTRIS 2.0 features an uncooled thermal imager and colour CCD day camera in its core configuration.

Numerous options are available specific to individual customer requirements, including a cooled configuration, target acquisition capability with compass and GPS or target data management with photo and video recording capabilities. It can be housed in a stabilised two-axis gimbal.

The thermal imager uses the latest detector technology and image processing. Coupled to OIP’s dual field-of-view lens, the system provides a crisp image and higher detection, recognition and identification values. In the fire control configuration, EOPTRIS 2.0 offers a true fire control capability that links to various types of external subsystems to provide data for enhanced ballistic accuracy.
