PAE said the deal, combined with its previously disclosed acquisition of CENTRA Technology, will expand its capabilities in the well-funded area of conducting intelligence analysis, training, and programme management for defence, intelligence, and other national security customers.

“Our intelligence and national security business is now of a size and scale that we can compete effectively for the largest and most attractive opportunities in the market,” said John Heller, PAE’s president and CEO.

Christopher Wynes, Metis’ president and CEO, said that joining the larger company will enable Metis “to pursue a broader customer base across more markets”.

PAE plans to use cash on hand and a loan to complete the Metis transaction, which is expected to close by year’s end.
