Auterion Airlogix JV's UAVs for Ukraine to include swarming capability

US-German unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) command and control (C2) firm Auterion, and Ukrainian defence firm Airlogix, through their joint venture (JV) Auterion Airlogix Joint Venture GmbH, are planning to supply swarming capable UAVs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The thousands of planned UAVs, X- and delta-wing forms, will be able to use Auterion's swarm-controlled Nemyx software, running on AuterionOS (operating system), an Auterion representative told Janes on 27 April 2026.

AuterionOS, able to coordinate among mixed-vendor platforms, will include Auterion's guidance, autonomy, and electronic warfare (EW) resilient software stack, the representative added.

The UAVs are being built using Airlogix airframes with an X-wing configuration based on its Seth-X UAV, and a delta-wing configuration based on its larger Anubis UAV, according to a 14 April Airlogix social media post.

During a live-fire UAV swarm test on 13 January at Camp Blanding, Florida, a single operator simultaneously commanded three UAVs to destroy three separate targets, according to Auterion. Using Auterion's Skynode, combining a flight controller, mission computer, and connectivity, and Nemyx swarm software, the operator was able to assign objectives and authorise lethal effects.

Several thousand units of X- and delta-wing UAVs in total will be produced per year at a dedicated factory near Munich by the JV, according to Auterion's 14 April release. The first deliveries are expected within months with production currently planned only for Ukraine, under a cooperation agreement between Germany and Ukraine. The UAVs will not be procured for the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) at this stage, according to the release. A second factory is planned for eastern Germany, according to Auterion.
