Turkish defence manufacturer Roketsan has inaugurated several production and research facilities. The move is part of a USD3 billion infrastructure expansion to increase manufacturing and testing capabilities.

The ceremony on 7 April 2026 marked the commissioning of installations including fuel production infrastructure in Kırıkkale, a warhead manufacturing complex, and a research and engineering centre. The company also began constructing more missile integration facilities.

Murat İkinci, CEO of Roketsan, said the investments are part of a broader USD3 billion expansion programme. He added that approximately USD1 billion of the work is complete.

The Kırıkkale Fuel Production Facilities was the largest site inaugurated, representing a USD450 million investment. The complex covers 25,000 square km and contains 83 structures with a combined enclosed area of approximately 52,000 square m. It is designed to expand Türkiye's solid rocket fuel production capacity.

The facility is expected to increase national solid fuel output fivefold once fully operational. The site will employ approximately 750 personnel.

Roketsan also inaugurated the Lalahan Warhead Facility. The company said the site is the largest warhead manufacturing installation in Europe.

The complex represents a USD350 million investment. It consists of 26 production and integration buildings within a 21,000 square m enclosed area. The facility is designed to increase output capacity and shorten manufacturing timelines for various munitions.

Company officials said the centre will support work in materials, propulsion systems, guidance technologies, and digital engineering. This supports Roketsan's role as one of Türkiye's research and development (R&D) organisations.

An Advanced Technologies R&D and Engineering Centre was also opened following a USD100 million investment.
