PT PAL reveals capabilities of Indonesian Navy's one-way attack USV

Indonesian shipbuilder PT PAL has disclosed new details on the domestically developed one-way attack unmanned surface vessel (USV) that made its debut in early August 2026.
The USV debuted during a joint exercise involving all branches of the Indonesian Armed Forces, which took place in the Riau Islands between 4–6 August.
A serial featuring the USV took place on 5 August, when it was launched from the well deck of the Indonesian Navy's hospital ship KRI dr. Soeharso .
In response to questions from Janes , PT PAL clarified that the serial simulated a strike operation against an enemy combatant.
The USV can also be configured for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions by fitting electro-optical sensors.
PT PAL said the vessel, which the company refers to as the Kamikaze USV, can achieve speeds of up to 55 kt and carry an explosive payload of up to 150 kg when configured for strike operations.
No other details were provided, but visuals released by the Indonesian Navy suggest that the USV features a compact, low-observable design with angular hull surfaces, a sharply raked bow, and a narrow profile consistent with a high-speed attack craft.
