Lockheed Martin demonstrated their latest Command-and-Control (C2) mission suite - CommandIQ at World Defense Show (WDS) held in Riyadh in February 2026.

Erika Marshall, the vice president of C4ISR at Lockheed Martin told Janes that CommandIQ was a platform and sensor agnostic command and control (C2) suite, with customisable mission apps.

A Lockheed Martin spokesperson added that CommandIQ was “built to plug in to, not replace,” a customer's existing C2 system, with AI support, and a modular design for third party sensors and commercial technology.

Lockheed Martin was still developing CommandIQ, with continued efforts to test and add capability, said program communications manager Robin Peak.

The company spokesperson said it was being developed using a software factory with a distributed Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, for delivery based on customer-defined requirements and integration pathways. The spokesperson added that Lockheed Martin is currently focusing on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and United Arab Emirates (UAE) as potential customers.

First unveiled at the Dubai Airshow in November 2025, the spokesperson said Command IQ's development focus was on being able to integrate with a wide range of existing and emerging sensors, effectors, and mission systems.
