US approves Anduril C-UAS sale to Kuwait

The US Department of State has approved the sale to Kuwait of counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) equipment made by Anduril and estimated to be worth USD1.98 billion.
The department's Bureau of Political-Military Affairs (BPMA) announced on 5 June 2026 that the package includes Anduril ‘s Roadrunner-Munition (Roadrunner-M) and Anvil kinetic interceptor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with launch boxes; Pulsar electronic warfare system; long-range, maritime, and mobile versions of the Sentry surveillance tower; Latice command-and-control software; and Menace tactical operations centre.
Unveiled by Anduril in 2023, the Roadrunner is an unmanned vertical take-off and landing intercepto UAV that is powered by two turbojet engines to give it a high subsonic speed. The Roadrunner-M version carries a high-explosive warhead for intercepting aerial targets. Anduril says the Roadrunner-M's ability to land if it is not expended “allows for large-scale defensive launches at extraordinarily low cost”.
The Anvil is an electrically powered quadcopter UAV for intercepting other UAVs. The standard version directly impacts the target, using its kinetic energy to neutralise it, while the Anvil-M has a high-explosive warhead.
