Aselsan demonstrates integrated EW and ISR payloads on Bayraktar TB2

Aselsan has demonstrated the co-ordinated operation of electronic warfare (EW) and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) payloads on Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during live trials in Konya province, Türkiye.

Announced by Aselsan on 18 September 2026, the demonstration was attended by more than 15 international defence delegations and involved the company's Antidot 2-U/ES 100 electronic support measures (ESM) pod, Antidot 2-U/EA 200 electronic attack (EA) pod, and Fulmar 200 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) pod.

During the first phase of the demonstration, the Antidot 2-U/ES 100 detected and geolocated a search-radar emitter while airborne. According to Aselsan, target information was then passed to the Antidot 2-U/EA 200, which conducted an electronic attack against the radar.

The electronic attack was subsequently suspended to allow the radar to reacquire and track the UAV. Once the radar had established a track, the Antidot 2-U/EA 200 employed digital radio-frequency memory (DRFM)-based countermeasures to disrupt its tracking function, Aselsan said.

During a second phase, the Antidot 2-U/ES 100 again detected and located the radar emitter while the Fulmar 200 generated high-resolution SAR imagery of the target area. Aselsan said the combination provided radar-emitter location and imagery for ground mapping and target identification.

Aselsan's current product literature designates the SAR pod as Fulmar 200-A. The X-band system weighs less than 20 kg and uses an active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna. It can generate high-resolution Stripmap and Spotlight SAR imagery in all-weather conditions and has a stated SAR imaging range of 40 km.
