Avantus Aerospace buys fastener maker FIT
United States-based aircraft parts manufacturer Avantus Aerospace has acquired Fastener Innovation Technology (FIT), which is a US firm that makes fasteners for military and commercial aircraft, Avantus announced on 29 September.

Avantus, whose products range from brackets to nacelle structures, said the “combined strength” of the two companies “will allow us to better serve our customers”.
Founded in 1979 and located in Rancho Dominguez, California, FIT makes bolts, screws, and other fasteners for more than 25 aircraft types. Its longtime customers include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon.
Avantus said that FIT’s existing management team will continue to operate the business. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Based in Valencia, California, Avantus is a group of aerospace manufacturers in Europe and North America. Last year, it acquired Fastener Technology Corporation (FTC) of North Hollywood, California.
