Ukraine's defence intelligence reveals Russia's jet-powered Geran-4 OWA UAV components

Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), also known as HUR (Holovne Upravlinnia Rozvidky), released a 3D model of the jet-powered Geran-4 one way attack (OWA) unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) with some of its major components.
In a 25 May news release, the DIU listed the technical characteristics of the Geran-4 OWA and pointed to its War and Sanctions website for the breakdown of the UAV's components. The Geran-4 can reach a speed of up to 500 km/h and an altitude of up to 5000 m (16,500 ft), according to the report. It measures 3.5 m in length, 3 m in wingspan, and can carry a 50 kg warhead or a 90 kg warhead for up to 450 km, according to the DIU. “The number of hatches on the fuselage has been minimised”, reads the release, possibly easing manufacture and stiffening the airframe.

The Geran-4 has a reinforced airframe structure and “a turbojet engine with increased thrust”, as per the news release. The OWA UAV deployed by Russian forces in Ukraine has been equipped with either the Telefly LX-WP-160 engine with 160 kg/1,600 N of thrust or the Telefly TF-TJ2000A with 200kg/1,960 N of thrust, according to the DIU.
