Kongsberg announced in a press release on 29 September 2026 that it had signed an agreement with Oshkosh Defense Europe to deliver Protector RS4 remote weapon stations (RWS) equipped with the Norwegian company's Protector counter-unmanned aerial system (CUAS) capability. The systems will be integrated into Oshkosh Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) and delivered to the Dutch armed forces.

Kongsberg said its Protector CUAS is a scalable counter-unmanned aerial system capability with a modular architecture designed to detect, track, identify, and neutralise unmanned aerial vehicle threats. It added that the system combines advanced sensors, targeting data, and effectors to defeat unmanned aerial threats.

The Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced on 25 June 2025 that it is procuring 150 Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles (DXPVs), an unarmoured JLTV version known as ‘Kaaiman', for the Korps Mariniers (Royal Netherlands Marine Corps, RNLMC) from Oshkosh, with deliveries scheduled for 2028.

Oshkosh announced on 13 January 2026 that the Netherlands was ordering an unspecified number of additional DXPVs and two DXPV training kits.
