Kalashnikov delivers Granat-4-E UAV fitted with target acquisition module

Russia's state-owned company Kalashnikov said it delivered an unnamed number of Granat-4-E unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with a gyro-stabilised electro-optical target acquisition module to an unnamed customer, Russia's state media agency Tass reported on 28 April 2026.
First unveiled in August 2025, “the UAV provides a laser target designation for precision-guided munitions with a passive laser guidance head,” a Kalashnikov representative was quoted by Tass as saying.
According a press release from the company on 28 April, the Granat-4-E UAV can has a speed of 90 km/h to 130 km/h, a maximum altitude of 3000 m. This is different from data given on Kalashnikov's website, which says the 4-E's flight altitude is between 500 and 2000 m, with a maximum of 3500 m.
The 4-E has an operating range within radio line of sight of up to 55 km, and a maximum take-off weight of 55 kg, said the press release. Kalashnikov's website says the maximum take-off weight is 45 kg.
The UAV is equipped with a video and thermal imaging camera with a maximum range of up to 70 km, which can track moving targets at ranges of up to 12 km, according to Tass.
The Granat-4-E has a maximum flight duration of eight hours, , according to Kalashnikov's website. The Granat-4-E system includes the UAV, a launch catapult on a Kamaz 4350 truck, a battery unit, and a ground control station.
