The French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) has placed a new order for MX-10 Damocles one-way attack (OWA) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) jointly developed by KNDS France and Delair in France, according to a 13 October KNDS press release.

The latest order represents the DGA's exercise of an optional tranche under the initial contract signed in July 2024, according to the release. Deliveries of the MX-10 Damocles to the French Armed Forces began in December 2025. The initial contract was awarded under the Remotely Operated Munition – Short Range (MTO CP) initiative, according to KNDS. The systems are intended for the French Army and the Navy.

On 22 January 2026 The French Ministry of the Armed Forces said that 460 Damocles would be delivered to the French Armed Forces by July. The first systems were delivered to France's Joint Munitions Service (Service interarmées des munitions: SIMu) in December 2025, it added.

The new order's quantity, value and delivery schedule are not disclosed in the 13 October release. Avoid implying that the additional lot is included in the earlier figure of 460. The January ministry release said 460 systems would be delivered by July 2026; it does not establish that all 460 were subsequently delivered. Retain the prospective attribution unless you obtain confirmation. It gives the precise first-delivery date as 2 December 2025.
