Auterion Nemyx VLS uses same technology as interceptor rifle

Auterion's Nemyx vertical launch system can deploy an interceptor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) using the same airframe and autonomy technology as the company's rifle-launched system, an Auterion representative told Janes on 9 October 2026.
The Nemyx VLS, unveiled on 5 October, is a modular launcher designed to be integrated with UAVs from multiple manufacturers. According to the Auterion representative, compatible platforms include Skyfall's Shrike first-person view (FPV) UAV and its P1-SUN interceptor UAV; Airlogix's X-shaped Seth-X UAVs; Rheinmetall's FV-104 fixed-wing loitering munitions; DeltaQuad UAVs; and Griffon Aerospace's Scourge UAVs.
Auterion's interceptor rifle releases bladed interceptor UAVs designed to engage Group 1 and 2 UAVs.
UAVs are stacked vertically inside each launch tube, with an electrically-powered elevator raising them individually into the launch position. Auterion says dedicated tubes are available for 10-inch FPVs and interceptors. A separate container accommodates “typical mid-range loitering munitions”. The tubes can be configured in 2x2 or 4x4 arrays or they can fill a whole ISO container, as per Auterion's specifications.
The VLS charges the UAVs, holds them in “power standby” and installs software updates.
Any Auterion-powered vehicle can hand a target to Nemyx VLS and trigger a single interceptor or swarm launch. Once a human designates the target, Nemyx automates the engagement, the company says.
Auterion did not confirm the number of UAVs that the VLS can launch in a swarm at the time of publication.
