India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) announced on 28 February that it had conducted two successful test shots of its 190 mm NAG anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) against separate main battle tank (MBT) targets at the Indian Army’s Pokhran test range in the Thar Desert in Rajasthan.
The NAG ATGM is developed between the DRDO and Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) under India’s Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP).
According to the DRDO, the two test shots at Pokhran mark the completion of the NAG’s development trials, and the missile is now scheduled for induction into the Indian Army by the end of this year.
