Safran exceeds 2017 targets

French defence and aerospace technologies group Safran has reported improved sales and earnings for 2017.

The group reported that sales increased 4.7% to EUR16.5 billion (USD20.15 billion) while operating earnings increased 2.7% to EUR2.47 billion.

Philippe Petitcolin, chief executive of Safran, said in a statement, “Safran met or beat all targets set for 2017 thanks to strong operating performances through the year.”
